The MBCM board along with upcoming Executive Director, Cam Priebe and Interim Director, Gerald Dyck , announce Jason Dyck as Director of Church Ministries beginning July 2019.
Jason currently serves as the Senior Pastor of Elm Creek MB, a role he has held since 2011. Prior to that, he also had the opportunity to faithfully serve as associate pastor of Dalmeny Community Church in Saskatchewan for 8 years.
Jason has extensive experience working with multiple church leaders. During his time as Chair of the Provincial Faith and Life Team over the past two years, his contribution has been a vital part of fostering excellence within new and existing MB leaders.
We have full confidence that Jason’s inquisitive approach to conversations will continue to help aid the goal of building community and create a space for MB leaders to access the resources needed for their ministries to grow.
“Seeing churches encounter really tough circumstances without the resources or will to move through those circumstances is painful for me. While I realize I am no one’s savior, I do come with a belief that there is always a way forward,” says Dyck. “With Jesus as Lord, how can there not be?”
Jason completed a Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Ministry from Bethany College in Hepburn Saskatchewan. He also holds a Coaching Mastery Certificate from Creative Results Management in Seattle, Washington.
As a part of his role, Jason will work closely with Executive Director, Cam Priebe to help assist in fulfilling the conference initiatives of developing leaders, building community, multiplying churches, and resourcing ministries.
“In my interaction with Jason, his love for Jesus Christ and the local church are very evident as he seeks to enter this church ministry position. His pastoral experience, COACH training, as well as his participation and leadership in many conference initiatives will allow him to make a great contribution to resourcing and equipping our MBCM Pastors and Churches.” says Priebe. “I look forward to working with Jason,” he adds.
The Board and staff are grateful to see Jason step into this leadership role with the Manitoba MB Conference and continue to pray a blessing over him and his family in this season ahead.
