Fort Garry MB Church – Associate Pastor – Youth and Young Adults

If you have a passion for Youth and Young Adults, we invite you to apply for the position of Associate Pastor – Youth and Young Adults, Fort Garry Mennonite Brethren Church (FGMB).

Under the leadership of the Senior Pastor, the Associate Pastor – Youth and Young Adults provides spiritual leadership through biblical, theological, cultural, and organizational development in the spiritual formation of Youth (Grades 7-12) and Young Adults.

As a member of the Pastoral Ministry Team, the Associate Pastor will participate in pastoral and staff meetings, Council meetings, as well as Council and Congregational meetings. We are looking for a spirit-filled follower of Jesus who is committed to the church, is able to support the vision of FGMB, the MB Confession of Faith, and be a credentialed minister of the MBCM or willing to enter the credentialing process within the first year of employment. Ideally, the successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical and Theological Studies, with courses in the area of ministry to youth, and experience in some aspect of leadership and ministry with Youth and/or Young Adults. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

In addition, the candidate will be innovative and creative, have planning and organizational skills, leadership and interpersonal relations skills, especially with Youth, College & Career, sponsors and parents, written and verbal communication skills and strong team leadership and ability to function well in a team environment with flexibility and adaptability. The candidate will be willing to become a member of FGMB and have a clear Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check.
