1. Tuesday: MBCI is having its AGM (annual general meeting) today. Pray that MBCI will continue to enjoy the support of many friends and churches. Principal: Fred Pauls.

2. Wednesday: The Manitoba MB Conference is look-ing for an accountant. Pray for God’s leading in finding a gifted person for this ministry with our churches. Director: Elton DaSilva.

3. Thursday: Keith Poysti, Conference Pastor, is heading north tomorrow to encourage MB churches in Flin Flon and Snow Lake. Praise God for good visits with pastors Randall Krahn and Kari Pulkkinen.

4. Friday: “A Rugged Strength: Disciplines for a godly life” is the focus of the Elmwood Church retreat this weekend. Pray for new courage and inspiration to live as God’s people. Pastors: Ken Stoesz, Cory Schulz.

5. Saturday: Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good. His love endures forever. Psalm 136.

6. Sunday: The Westside Church in Morden is celebrating Thanksgiving today and praising God for His goodness. Let’s join in giving thanks. Speaker: Elton DaSilva. Pastor: Konrad Loewen.

7. Monday: The School of Urban Leadership (SOUL) equips leaders for ministry in the inner city. Pray for new biblical insights and spiritual growth as they study the gospel of Luke together. Teacher: Kevin O’Coin. Director: Arisnel Mesidor.

8. Tuesday: Praise God for Bert Bell who is beginning as the new Pastor of Congregational Care at Portage Avenue Church today. Pray for good connections and effective ministry for Bert and Sandy.

9. Wednesday: Hugh Froese is serving as the new Community Life Pastor in Winkler. Pray for Hugh and Yvette as they get to know families in this community.

10. Thursday: McIvor MB Church is offering two grief support groups this fall. Pray that participants will feel God’s care and comfort as they grieve the loss of a loved one. Leaders: Les Riediger, Jane.

11. Friday: It’s great to welcome new people at the Thompson Christian Centre. Pray that all will grow in their walk with God. Pastor couple: Ted and Mary Goossen.

12. Saturday: Give thanks to the God of gods, to him who alone does great wonders. Psalm 136.

13. Sunday: The Slavic Evangelical Church has called Michael Prozorov to serve as their pastor. Pray that God will bless and encourage Michael and Natalia in their ministry.

14. Monday: Give thanks to the God of heaven. His love endures forever. Psalm 136.

15. Tuesday: “Belonging to Life” is the invitation of a FaithWorks retreat with Rob Des Cotes on Oct. 18-19. Pray that a growing self-acceptance, hospitality, and prayer will foster a greater sense of belonging to God and others. Pastors: Roger Thiessen, Mary Reimer.

16. Wednesday: The Canadian Conference is hosting a study conference Oct. 16-18 in Edmonton on “Human Sexuality: Honouring God with the body”. Pray for God’s guidance for meaningful conversations and theological study. Director: Willy Reimer.

17. Thursday: Seven churches in Killarney are joining together for a community service on Sunday, Oct. 20. Please pray for a unified and powerful witness to the community, and for the Lakeview MB youth band as they lead worship. MB Pastor: David Gibson.

18. Friday: A ministry team from the Newton Church is travelling north to Snow Lake tomorrow. Pray for meaningful outreach at the fall supper tomorrow that lives will be changed for eternity through their ministry and testimonies. Leader: Darlene.

19. Saturday: Members of Crossroads MB Church are inviting friends to their Thanksgiving banquet today to hear about “the difference prayer makes”. Pray for a clear communication of the Good News about Jesus. Speaker: Gordon. Pastor: Marvin Dyck.

22. Tuesday: House Blend Ministries will be launching a new internship program in 2014 for people who want to do practical service in this community and grow in their relationship with God. Pray for God’s guidance as Rachel Twigg Boyce develops this new program.

23. Wednesday: Gerald Dyck, Family Life Pastor in Morden, is on a sabbatical leave until January 2. Pray for true rest and renewal during this time.

24. Thursday: “One88” is the name of the Eastview downtown campus at 188 Princess St. Pray for God’s leading as they gather Thursday evenings for worship. Pastors: Dave Ens, Greg Armstrong.

25. Friday: The Chinese MB Church is joining other Chinese churches in Winnipeg for special evangelistic meetings this weekend. Please pray that new people will come to Jesus. MB Pastor: Luc Tran.

27. Sunday: Fort Garry MB Church is celebrating and commissioning Carl Heppner as their new pastor today. Let’s pray God’s joy and blessing on Carl and Kathy.

28. Monday: Eritrean people are arriving in Winnipeg. Pray for the Eritrean church as they help newcomers find jobs and housing. Pastor: Habtemicael Beraki.

29. Tuesday: Walls of Freedom has new women’s and men’s ministries. Pray for Jim and Jacqie Wiseman as they share principles for loving, healthy families.

30. Wednesday: Small groups are an important part of the church in La Salle. Pray for the leaders as they share their lives with others. Pastor: Ray Klassen.

31. Thursday: “New Songs for Worship” is the promise of a workshop with Christine Longhurst on Saturday, Nov. 2 at CMU. Praise God for new inspiration from a wide variety of musical styles for worship leaders.
