 1. Sunday: South Park MB Church in Altona is glad to welcome Rick Rockwood as their new pastor today. Let’s pray for Rick and Karen as they settle into a new church and community.

2. Monday: “At Peace in a Changing Culture” is the promise for seniors at Camp Arnes this week. Pray for an enjoyable time of spiritual refreshing, based on Luke’s gospel.

3. Tuesday: Farmers are working long hours to bring in the harvest. Pray that they will know God’s faithfulness in good and in difficult times. Justice MB Pastor: Gerry Harms.

4. Wednesday: Elmwood MB Church is thankful for two new pastors: Ken Stoesz (lead pastor) and Cory Schulz (youth pastor). Pray for joy and courage as they begin to chart their course together.

5. Thursday: Crossroads Church is inviting children to Sunday School with a carnival on their street on Saturday, Sept. 7. Pray for a favourable response and God’s leading.

6. Friday: The Manitou Church is setting up a tent at the town’s honey, garlic, and maple syrup festival this weekend. Pray for good interaction with kids, youth, and families. Pastor couple: Derek and Lisa Lehman.

7. Saturday: “Lord, you have been our dwelling place throughout all generations. From everlasting to everlasting, you are God.” Psalm 90.

8. Sunday: Winkler MB Church, the oldest Mennonite Brethren church in Canada, is celebrating its 125th anniversary today! Praise God for his faithfulness in the past and his blessings for the future. Pastors: Phillip Vallelly, Terry Dueck.

9. Monday: This is a busy week at MBCI as students and teachers settle into a new school routine. Pray for a good start to a great year. Principal: Fred Pauls.

10. Tuesday: Stella Labossiere has resigned as accountant for the Manitoba conference to pursue other employment opportunities. We are thankful for her excellent and diligent work during the past six years. Let’s pray God’s rich blessings on Stella.

11. Wednesday: This is a time of new beginnings in our home church. Pray for God-inspired vision and focus to reach people in our community.

12. Thursday: Women in northern Manitoba are looking forward to their retreat at Simonhouse Bible Camp Sept. 13-15. May each woman experience God’s love and leading.

13. Friday: The Eritrean church has started a new worship service Friday evenings at 6:00 pm for people who work on Sundays. Pray that all will grow in their faith and love for God. Pastor: Habtemicael Beraki.

14. Saturday: Prayer of Confession: “Lord, you have set our iniquities before you, our secret sins in the light of your presence.” Psalm 90.

15. Sunday: McIvor MB Church is hosting a “free fest” for neighbours today with food, music, and fun activities. Pray for good interaction with new friends. Pastors: Gerald Hildebrand, Les Riediger.

16. Monday: Praise God for faithful people at Grace Church in Cranberry Portage. They are thankful for travelling lay preachers who come to speak God’s Word and for a new country gospel singer who leads worship on Sunday. Leader: Bob Hay.

17. Tuesday: Members of Portage Avenue Church are participating in “Forty Days of Growing in Community”. Pray that they will grow in unity, love, and outreach. Pastor couple: George and Carla Toews.

18. Wednesday: Women from Steinbach MB Church are planning a “Great Gals Getaway” for Sept. 21-22 – a time to enjoy good fun, faith, and friendship.

19. Thursday: Family Life Network is having its AGM (annual general meeting) today. May the Holy Spirit encourage and inspire FLN’s board and staff along with the attendees to serve with renewed purpose and passion. Director: Claude Pratte.

20. Friday: The Church Unity Project training event this weekend will equip pastors and peace builders to give and receive feedback in healthy ways. Facilitator: Brian Strom. Conference Pastor: Keith Poysti.

21. Saturday: “Lord, teach us to number our days aright that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” Psalm 90.

22. Sunday: The ministry of Walls of Freedom in the core area is growing! Praise God for a greater impact for Jesus in the community and in people’s lives. Pray for more volunteers to work with Jim and Jacqie Wiseman. 

23. Monday: Kids are back in school and back at the breakfast clubs. People from Christian Family Center and River East MB Church serve breakfast to hungry kids at the Lord Selkirk and River Elm schools. Pastor: Edgar French.

24. Tuesday: The Chinese church has a growing youth ministry in the Fort Garry area. Please pray for God’s leading as they look for a youth pastor.

25. Wednesday: Members of Eglise Communautaire de la Riviere Rouge want to focus on outreach. Pray that God will reveal to them the best ways to reach the French-speaking community. Pastor: Arisnel Mesidor.

 26. Thursday: Canadian Mennonite University is hosting a Fall Festival for friends Sept. 27-28. Pray for CMU students and faculty as they begin a new year of studies. President: Cheryl Pauls.

27. Friday: Pray for this special weekend in Thompson as church leaders and worship teams join an Eagles Flight workshop tomorrow, and the church celebrates Thanksgiving on Sunday, Sept. 29. Speakers: Bert Bell, Ben Wohlgemut, Canadian Conference.

28. Saturday: “Lord, satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.” Psalm 90.

29. Sunday: Manitou MB Church is celebrating and commissioning Steve Johnson as their new youth pastor today. Let’s pray for Steve as he gets to know youth in this community.

30. Monday: House of Covenant International Church (HCIC) is thankful for a growing ministry to Ethiopian people in Winnipeg. They enjoy gathering for Sunday worship at the Youth for Christ building at 333 King St. Pastor: Yohannes Engida.
