The MBCM Board is pleased to announce the hiring of John Neufeld as our new Provincial Director, beginning March 1, 2025.
John brings over twenty years of pastoral experience in MB churches, along with significant leadership roles in denominational settings, including MB Seminary and CCMBC. His expertise in leadership development and governance, combined with his strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with leaders at all denominational levels, make him uniquely suited for this role. John’s extensive network of relationships—locally, nationally, and internationally—further enriches his capacity to serve and lead.
This is an exciting new chapter for MBCM. Together, we aim to build a strong foundation of unity, trust, and healthy relationships among our churches. John’s strengths in communication and fostering collaboration will help us find a common purpose and advance a collective vision of impacting our communities and province with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Currently serving as Lead Pastor at Eastview Community Church, John’s transition is made possible by the generosity and support of the Eastview congregation. We recognize their significant sacrifice in releasing John to pursue this opportunity and ask for your prayers as they navigate this time of transition.
About John Neufeld
John is known for his warmth and ability to connect with people. He enjoys board games, evenings with friends, and spending time at the cottage. When unwinding, you might find him in the bush with a chainsaw or enjoying outdoor activities like sailing and paddling. John also treasures quiet moments by the fire, reflecting and relaxing.
John and his wife, Rose, have three adult children and are newly embarking on the adventure of grand parenting. Together, they are passionate about hospitality and creating community, particularly for new Canadians, neighbours, and those exploring faith. They are refreshed by time at the lake, time spent with friends, and a love of music.
John’s pastoral heart shines in his ministry. As a teacher, he connects scripture to the everyday challenges of life, fostering healing and reconciliation in individuals and communities. He is deeply committed to the transformative power of having an encounter with Jesus Christ.
